Payment Terms
The reservation becomes effective upon receipt of your deposit (30% of the total rental amount), and implies acceptance of the present General Conditions as well as the House Rules.
You can make this payment directly from our site or by check. You will then receive a confirmation email.
The balance of the rental amount must be paid no later than 15 days before your arrival.
For stays booked less than 15 days before the arrival date, the total amount of the stay is due upon reservation.

Tourist tax
We collect a tourist tax on behalf of the City of Nice, the amount of which is added to the rental price. As our cottages are classified 3 *, the amount of this tourist tax is € 1.50 per night and per adult. This amount is payable at the same time as the rental price.

No withdrawal:


For reservations made by mail, telephone or internet, the tenant does not benefit from the withdrawal period, in accordance with Article L121-21-8 of the Consumer Code relating in particular to accommodation services provided on a determined date.

Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge up to 30 days before your scheduled arrival (unless you have chosen one of our special offers).
For cancellations less than 30 days before the arrival date, the following penalties apply:
- 30% of the total rental price for a cancellation 15 to 30 days before the scheduled arrival,
- 50% of the total rental price for a cancellation 7 to 15 days before the scheduled arrival,
- 100% of the total rental price for a cancellation made less than 7 days before the scheduled arrival.

In the event of a shortened stay, the price of accommodation will remain fully acquired.

COVID 19: Under the current uncertain conditions, if the stay cannot be carried out due to restrictive government measures such as confinement, travel restrictions, compulsory fortnight on return, and you are obliged to cancel it within the time limit of 30 days before the arrival date, we agree to defer your payment to a reservation at a later date, to be agreed upon, free of charge, up to 18 months from your originally scheduled arrival date (in accordance with the provisions of the order n ° 2020-235 dated March 25th, 2020).

For these reasons, you are strongly recommended to take out cancellation insurance such as that of our partner Chapka Assurances, which includes a COVID guarantee. Their formula also provides you with the option of a resort liability and property damage coverage at a reasonable cost. All information on their site:
Any cancellation must be notified to us by registered letter or email with acknowledgment of receipt.

Cancellation by the owner:

The owner pays the tenant all of the sums paid, as well as an indemnity at least equal to that which the tenant would have borne if the cancellation had been made by him on that date.

Inventory and security deposit

An inventory is drawn up jointly and signed by the tenant and the owner or his representative on arrival and departure of the rental. This inventory constitutes the only reference in the event of a dispute .
The tenant will be debited the day before his arrival for a security deposit of € 300.
This is a deposit intended to cover any damage to furniture and items in our cottage. We return it to the tenant’s account on the day of his departure and after checking the premises.
In the event of early departure (prior to the time mentioned on this contract) preventing the inventory checking on the day of the tenant's departure, the security deposit is returned by the owner within a period not exceeding not a week.

Resort insurance
 
The tenant is responsible for any and all damages resulting from his doing and undertakes, in this event to bear the costs of repair.
You are therefore required to check that you are well insured by a holiday-type civil liability contract, which is included in most policies.
As mentioned above, the company Chapka Assurances, which offers cancellation insurance including a COVID guarantee, optionally offers to cover you for a resort liability and damage to property. All information on their site:

Disputes:

Any complaint relating to the inventory of fixtures and the state of the description during a rental, must be submitted to the Departmental or interdepartmental office of Gîtes de France within three days of entering the premises.

Any other complaint must be sent to them as soon as possible, by mail.
