Walks to the west

1 - Les Hauts de CAGNES



Nice walk in the old town of Cagnes sur mer: the Hauts de CAGNES (about 25'-30 ’from the house - park in the car park of the war memorials), possibility of visiting the Grimaldi castle

2 - Vence, Tourrettes, Gourdon



Several nice villages: Vence (30 ’from the villa) - Don't miss the cathedral, with a very original local museum on the first floor - outside the village: Chapel of the Rosary decorated by Matisse. Tourrettes-sur-Loup and Gourdon (magnificent viewpoint).

3 - St Paul de Vence



Stroll in a superb world famous Provençal village, renowned in particular for its  galleries. See the Chapel of the White Penitents decorated by Folon. For contemporary art lovers, the Galerie Maeght is a must.

4 - Grasse



Grasse: the city of flowers and perfumes. You can visit the perfume museum.

5 - Antibes



At 40 ', a must-see - (preferably park in the Vauban port car park) - walk on the ramparts, old town, Picasso museum, visit of Fort Carré - hike: tour of Cap d'Antibes.

6 - Vallauris



To visit: the Picasso museum and the ceramic workshops.

7 - Cannes and the Lérins islands



Why not go visiting Cannes (park in the Congress Hall parking lot)? Stroll on the Croisette, admire the artists' hands prints next to the Palais des Congrès, the magnificent yachts of the old port (as in Nice, very good giant pizzas: Pizza Cresci). And, if you a few hours go see the Lérins Islands (St Honorat is only 15 'by boat from the old port).
