Walks and hikes

Pretty hikes in exceptional sites in St Jean Cap Ferrat (3), Eze (4) in the upper village (charming medieval village and botanical garden from which you have one of the most beautiful views of the French Riviera ) or, for the brave, climb it from the coast via the Nietsche (yes: the famous philosopher!) trail. Further east, the Cap d'Ail trail and the Roquebrune Cap Martin trail. These are usually walks of 2h-2h30 on sites that can be reached in 30-45 ’(without guarantee in summer) from the house.

Monaco

You can get there by car (nicer by one of the 3 ledges than by the motorway), by train, by bus, or by ferry from the port of Nice (nice walk - about 40 € / adult - book on Internet).

To see among others :
- Oceanographic museum
- Changing the guard in front of the Prince's Palace
- Walk in the Rocher district
- Exotic garden
- Monte Carlo district, Casino ...

Menton

Do not miss the lemon festival in February. Very pretty old town to visit.

Vintimille et San Remo

You are a stone's throw from Italy: do not hesitate to go stock up on delicious Italian cold cuts and cheeses at the Ventimiglia or San Remo market (in the morning). Stroll through the old town of Sanremo after a real Italian pizza. And why not a little shopping to afford Italian style at a bargain price?
